It was -17° at 7:00 this morning, which is about as cold as it ever gets here. Around 8:15 we saw emergency vehicles going by. I looked to the north and saw a big cloud of smoke. A barn about a mile up the road caught fire. There were at least 6 different fire departments which helped put it out. We saw a big truck that said 'tanker' go by 3 times. It was -9° when the fire happened. I don't know how that effects firefighting, but I stopped seeing smoke by 9:00.
