My mom passed away this week. I'm going through photos for the funeral and this one will be in there. This was taken at my baby shower, 25 years ago, of my mom, her mom, and sisters. This photo has been hanging on her fridge since then.
My major in college was studio art. Immediately after graduation, my husband and I started a family. As our family grew, art production took a back seat. Even photographs dwindled with each addition. I bought a DSLR, and decided to start my own art project. I will take pictures every day, and post one of them on this site.
I am finding that with digital, the results are immediate, allowing me to check my images and right away make adjustments to re-shoot the photo. The pictures are becoming a learning tool, and I hope that my photography impoves as the years progress.
