We got a little snow in the air today. Last weekend, my husband hung my LED star on the barn. It looks good, even from the road. Since we're 200+ feet from the road, I need oversized decorations.

I found the angel to go on top of our tree. The tallest kid is always going to get stuck decorating the top part of the tree.

The ivy is taking over this corner of the house. Although, it is easier to pull out than the wild roses it is competing with.

There was an unusual haze this morning, and the air smelled like smoke. I suppose it was from the barn fire the other day.

Goals

My major in college was studio art. Immediately after graduation, my husband and I started a family. As our family grew, art production took a back seat. Even photographs dwindled with each addition. I bought a DSLR, and decided to start my own art project. I will take pictures every day, and post one of them on this site.

I am finding that with digital, the results are immediate, allowing me to check my images and right away make adjustments to re-shoot the photo. The pictures are becoming a learning tool, and I hope that my photography impoves as the years progress.
