We went on an evening trip to this covered bridge. The bridge almost seemed too small for the minivan, but we made it through with room to spare I'm sure, even if it didn't feel like it.

Typical farm scene... something always seems to need fixing. On the side of a steep hill, naturally. Didn't take too long to get going again though. Pretty soon, we were baling all the hay on that steep hill.

It's that time of year again. Here's dad baling a pile of hay. As I did the past year or two, I spent some time making sure my younger son didn't get baled up too. He likes to see how things work. Unfortunately, he likes to be up close. He was better this year though. Last school year he even wrote a paper about how dangerous it is to bale hay (the assignment was to write about things you do as a family). That's why it's good to volunteer for school parties- so the teachers know you aren't the dangerous freak your child makes you out to be.
