November 21, 2025

I made a shopping bag from old jeans and T-shirts.

November 20, 2025

I got a start on Thanksgiving shipping. I bought enough recently to qualify for a free turkey and I picked out the biggest I could find- 19 pounds. We added a few more things to the cart after this, but the total came to $170.09, despite the free turkey.

November 15, 2025

I made one of Grandma's stars into a little hanging decoration.

November 14, 2025

I listened to this record a lot when I was little. It has a break in it but still played.

November 13, 2025

I came across pieces for a quilt top started by my grandmother. It's a six pointed star, or tumbling blocks in this color pattern, depending on which parts of the quilt you look at.

November 9, 2025

I started this long ago. I finally got the binding sewn on.

November 8, 2025

We got the garden disced and cover crops planted.

November 7, 2025

This is some of my mom's paperwork to sort through. These check registers are 10+ years old.

November 5, 2025

I got a new car last month. It's got so many extras it will probably be years before I find them all. Since I don't drive much, we figure this will last until retirement or longer.

November 4, 2025

I found a wolly bear on the deck. I took a picture of it on some flowers I have left and set it down in the yard.

Time for our annual family photo.

October 31, 2025

The color in the trees is fading.

October 30, 2025

My dad's machinist tool chest is displayed in my office.

October 29, 2025

Last day here. I cried a little to leave my childhood home behind.

October 28, 2025

One last photo of the kids at mom's.

October 27, 2025

Our barn is full.

October 26, 2025

Here is the rock wall built from the drawing I posted on 10/6.

October 25, 2025

In the months before I got married, I took 4 seasonal photos of the house, printed them out and framed them as a gift for my parents. Today I took one last photo from about the same spot. The house is sold and goes to the new people on 10/30.  We'll miss it (except for the leaf pickup- nobody is going to miss that!)

October 24, 2025

I've got a few of these now. I just need to figure out how to flatten it out so I can hang it up somewhere.

October 23, 2025

She joins me in the evenings to watch the bugs outside the window.

October 22, 2025

This was the bedroom I shared with my sister when we were little.

October 19, 2025

A couple turkeys walked through.

October 18, 2025

It's dry enough we mowed the swampy area. I think we've only been able to mow it twice before in the last two decades. Today, it wasn't even muddy.

October 17, 2025

This dahlia is big and fluffy.

October 16, 2025

They say the trees won't be as colorful this year due to the drought this summer. Looking closer, it appears the trees do have pretty colors but also a lot of large, dead brown spots.

October 15, 2025

Another dahlia.

October 14, 2025

I have lots of these around my house now- boxes of random stuff from my parent's house which need sorted.

October 13, 2025

The soybeans across the road were harvested this afternoon.

October 12, 2025

We had one last picnic at mom's house.

October 11, 2025

I've got a peach colored dahlia.

October 10, 1015

We got a frost this morning.

October 7, 2025

I had to wear these for some reason when I was little. Not sure what it did/ was supposed to do for me.

October 6, 2025

I found a blueprint for the stone wall at mom's. The company cut them and numbered them and dad used this to make the wall.

October 5, 2025

I picked up two buckets of black walnuts.

Sunday, October 5, 2025

October 4, 2025

We got a cloud of dust float to us. The soybean field on the other side of the trees was being harvested and it's been so dry it made quite a large amount of dust.

October 3, 2025

This is where all the little duckies are coming from. A local bowling alley has an arcade. This machine is a 'play until you win' machine, so we end up with lots of rubber duckies. I got a hippy girl one myself.
