Our second fridge only lasted 5 1/2 years, and the third lasted 6 1/2 years.  Our first, from 29 years ago, is still working in our basement but we wanted a larger capacity upstairs.  This time we picked out the least complicated fridge we could find- so simple, it is either a fridge or a freezer, it does not do both.  We already had one in the basement set to the freezer temp so bought a second for a fridge.  The inside shelves and baskets are horribly spaced but we're going to make it work.
