We carved some of our home-grown pumpkins.  They were late to get going so some were still green when we had to pick them.  I carved a dark green one.

I spent the day freezing pumpkins. The dark orange on the right is the dickinson pumpkin, all from one large pumpkin.  The lighter orange on the left is a pie pumpkin.  I'm still deciding if I like one variety better than the other.  I got 1 cup of pumpkin puree per pound of pumpkin from both varieties.

I took a little road trip with my kids and mom today.  We got a few more pictures, despite the sun hiding behind clouds all day.

I cut up and froze two of the pie pumpkins and the peach colored dickinson one on the right. The dickinson is definitely more orange than the other.  They also taste different, though I can't say if one is better than the other.

I picked peppers and got this plus another bucket.  I made and froze stuffed peppers, though that didn't use many peppers.

The new field is looking greener.  A deer left some hoof prints, and it might have been the one standing in the center of the picture just beyond the field.

I planted different varieties of pumpkin this year.  This is a dickinson pumpkin, which is supposedly the kind Libby's uses for their canned pumpkin.
