I matted and framed two drawings my daughter made at school. The one on the left won first place at an art show. I like the one on the right- it reminds me of a picture book illustration and I want to read the story!
My major in college was studio art. Immediately after graduation, my husband and I started a family. As our family grew, art production took a back seat. Even photographs dwindled with each addition. I bought a DSLR, and decided to start my own art project. I will take pictures every day, and post one of them on this site.
I am finding that with digital, the results are immediate, allowing me to check my images and right away make adjustments to re-shoot the photo. The pictures are becoming a learning tool, and I hope that my photography impoves as the years progress.
