My son replaced some smoke detectors, which beeped and disturbed this particular cat.  She hid for hours.  She's the one who growls at delivery trucks which also beep when they back down the driveway.

We've had a lot of animals showing up- a hawk has been flying low through the yard the last few days, a skunk walked through the yard Friday, this opossum waddled around the house this afternoon, and a raccoon showed up after dark.  We don't normally see so many all at once.  I suppose the warmer weather after the bad we've had is bringing them around.

It got cold again and froze the rain from yesterday.  Our maple had lots of frozen raindrops on it's branches.

I ordered a freezer in December and finally got it today.  It's small enough to fit inside our SUV.  We thought we were going to need a new fridge but were able to get ours working again.  This replacement is convertible and can be a freezer or fridge, so we'll probably set it as a freezer and try to clean out our chest freezer.

The leaves laying on top of the snow must have warmed up in the sun and melted little holes in the snow.

We cleaned out mom's driveway and fixed her mailbox- again.  It looks like a snowplow came down the road and wiped out her mailbox and the next two neighbors.  At least mom's only needed the crosspost screwed back onto the post so we didn't have to put a new post into frozen ground.

We got more snow and drifts over night- couldn't even tell this morning that my husband had cleared the driveway.  So the driveway had to be cleared again before my son and I could leave for work.

We got another bad snow storm.  I called off work this time, along with the rest of my family who don't work from home, and the kids didn't have school.  The roads were bad all day.

I bought some computer glasses with a blue filter.  My eyes don't feel so dry when I wear these.
