November 28, 2021

We hit some snow on the way home yesterday, so my son got some snow driving experience.  Now we've got some on the ground again.

November 27, 2021

The boys and I joined some more relatives for a hike in the woods and briars to mark property lines.

November 20, 2021

We worked on mom's leaves again.  This year most of the leaves all fell off at once so it was extra thick this time.  We got two more trailer loads.  The gardens are too soft to drive into so I had to back the trailer up at a sharp angle.  My daughter took a turn controlling the dump trailer on this trip.

November 19, 2021

It's birthday time again.

November 18, 2021

The red and pink leaves from the burning bush always remind me of Valentine's day.

November 17, 2021

We were weeding today and my son found a praying mantis egg sack.  I've seen these before and had no idea what they were.  I'm not sure how he knew, but glad he does so we can put it aside and have little praying mantis in the spring.

November 16, 2021

Most leaves are brown now after the frost and snow.  The pin oak leaves still have a little red to them yet.

November 15, 2021

The snow is melting already.

November 14, 2021

We got some snow today.  I took pictures of the kids for Christmas, though it was snowing hard enough to keep getting in everyone's face.

November 11, 2021

Here are the leaves after dumping.  We'll spread them out after the last load.

November 10, 2021

Emptying leaves from the trailer is a lot easier than loading them.

November 9, 2021

This is most of our potato harvest.  Many of them were partially eaten by grubs, which is a problem we've never had before.

November 8, 2021

I planted some saffron crocus, which blooms in the fall.  The long red part coming from the center is saffron.

We dug potatoes today.

We took our family picture today.  It was pretty back in the woods.

November 5, 2021

We worked on the leaves at my mom's house.  We filled the trailer up plus some more.

November 4, 2021

We had a hard frost this morning and it seems to be making the leaves fall really fast now.

November 2, 2021

Apparently it is deer mating season.  Today we saw a doe being chased around by three bucks.  This buck and another were big guys, while the third I saw was a little smaller.  They disappeared after running across the road.

November 1, 2021

The trees in my yard are looking pretty now.
