I ran out of herbs the last time I made spaghetti sauce.  The most affordable place to get large quantities of herbs is the amish bulk food store.  I rarely go anywhere, but when I do, I go an hour before closing when there are fewer customers.  This is the only place I buy certain baking supplies (like buttermilk powder, gelatin for marshmallows, spices, and yeast) because it's a fraction of the cost at the grocery store.
