March 31, 2012

We did some scrapbooking today. This is some of my paper.

We got a load of mulch today.

March 29, 2012

We got some more plastic miniature parts made, so I started gluing some together and paint them. After I made that large model terrain, about 3 foot square, I end up only using about 6 inches for a picture.

March 25, 2012

It's getting colder now. But nice enough to fly a kite for a little bit.

Playing Minecraft.

It's been 2 years now since I started posting!

March 22, 2012

My weeping cherry tree has some flowers. Not as much as many I saw in other people's landscaping, but it does have more than last year. It looked pretty though with the sunrise illuminating the morning mist. I managed to sneak out to take this in between bus routes.

March 21, 2012

Went on a bike ride today and rode the whole trail. It's 8.5 miles long. The end is closed for some construction since they built a new bridge and are tearing down this one near the trail entrance. It's very warm (80's) for March. But everyone's enjoying it.

March 20, 2012

Took the kids on a ride today.

March 17, 2012

The wedding was lovely. Here's the parents and bridal party. The kids did well (so did the bride and groom!). It's really nice that I can call her sister in law now.

March 16, 2012

My brother is getting married tomorrow. This was rehearsal. We tried to get the kids to walk slow, but not too slow. And then stand there and look cute for a little while.

March 15, 2011

My oldest is in a cooking class at school now, and they host a brunch for a parent. His was today. They had ham/egg casserole, steamed broccoli, potato boats, fruit, and cinnamon rolls. Good stuff! I took this photo with my cell phone, going to have to work with it a little more, see if I can't get it to take better pictures!

March 14, 2012

We went on a walk. She got mad about something. We saw a big ugly (snapping?) turtle, and the frogs were very loud.

March 13, 2012

It was nice and sunny, so here are some crocus in the sun.

A nice thing about having trees: shade and wind block.
Bad thing about trees: this.

March 10, 2012

Crocus are blooming.

March 9, 2012

Got hooked up to gas today. It's nice to not have to worry about running out of gas anymore.

March 8, 2012

Modern day 4th grade math homework.

March 7, 2012

It warmed up a little today. Warm for March, rather chilly if it were the summer, so I guess 'warmed up' is relative. We went for a walk, then washed the salt off the truck. I don't know how, but about 5 minutes after this she said something about getting soap on her head. I turned around and her shirt was completely soaked.

My daughter's outfit for her ballet recital in April. Hopefully before then, I'll figure out what we're supposed to do with the gold ribbon that came with it.

March 3, 2012

My brother put his snow tires up in top of the barn. Does that mean it's going to snow a lot soon, or is spring here?

March 2, 2012

Pieces parts of the swimming pool. Yes, I'm looking forward to summer.

My daughter the kindergarten dictator: She got in trouble for lying, so instead of playing the computer, she had to sit at the table. She cried for a little bit, then got busy writing. Lately, she's been writing stuff: words, and recently sentences, which she sounds out herself. I was caught off guard when she handed me this. Translation: " To mom: I love you mom now I don't like you anymore because you hurt my feelings and you didn't let me play on the computer. If you want me to be happy then let me play on the computer." There's so many emotions here- I'm thrilled she can write so well, on her own, and with decent handwriting. But her little attitude needs some work! Obviously, she already knows how to pull on the heartstrings. Can't wait for the teenage years!
