I made salsa.  The peppers I have this year are very sweet and really good.  They made the salsa sweet too.

I was looking for a day trip to go on during our 'vacation'.  I stumbled across this place in Pittsburgh- Carrie Blast Furnaces.  These were part of a plant for making steel.  Most of the plant is gone, but this bit remains and they give tours.  It was very interesting and they are working on restoring what they can.  We learned a lot and enjoyed the tour.

This baby bird is running around near my mom's house.  We're pretty sure it's a blue heron.  We've never seen one running around before.

I've repainted the bathroom.  The far wall used to be a darker color, and I'm not sure I like it the same color as the rest of the walls.  Hopefully I'll get used to it.

This little guy was guarding the feeder.  I have a new, larger shepherd's hook for the feeder.  He tries to sit on the rounded part to guard, but it's too rounded, big, and slick and he slides right off.  I've seen his little feet spinning like a cartoon when he tries to stay on.  After a few attempts he will give up and sit in a nearby butterfly bush.

I am starting to see ripe tomatoes deep inside my tomato cages.  Looking forward to some BLT sandwiches.
