We started a pile of Christmas presents.

We evicted two frogs today. There is a storm coming so we had to move them before they would freeze to death in the goldfish pond.

I read suggestions to put straw in the potato bin to help them last longer so we're trying it this year.

We moved the fish inside since it snowed. They're so big we have to use a skimmer net from the pool to catch them.

We had a line of storms come through with a lot of wind taking out electric. Ours came back after a few hours.

We dumped the third load of leaves on the old potato patch. My son enjoyed using the little bulldozer to spread them around.

I think we're finished with leaves. There are some still on the trees, but not much. I finished off a roll of duct tape on the left tractor's tubing. About 1/3 to 1/2 of the tube is wrapped with duct tape so we might have to invest in a new one next year. I didn't even notice until this picture how much duct tape is on the zero turn, too. That tape is really useful stuff.

We dumped the first trailer of leaves on our new garden. Today we scooped up more leaves and dumped this load on the old potato patch.
November 8, 2020
I plowed next year's potato patch. I figure this will give the hay and weed roots time to die and rot away before we have to hoe the potatoes next year.

We dug the rest of the potatoes. We got more than last year, but not by much. It's time to move the patch.
November 6, 2020
We had the second round of leaves at my mom's house today. There were a lot of leaves on the ground, and there's still more on the trees. We filled up the dump trailer and will take that to our house. There is another trailer load we piled on the garden which we'll have to shovel onto the trailer later. I keep thinking- I don't remember this many leaves when I was little- because there weren't! My dad planted many of those trees, and now they're big!

We're not supposed to get rain for a few more days, so we're hoping the potato patch dries up some more.
November 4, 2020
My husband put new caulk along the bricks. The tubes say it is clear caulk, but sure looks white to us.

This is the back of the bag. I was able to re-use one of the pockets on the bag's back pocket. I ran out of magnetic snaps so that big black button is a functional button, rather than decoration like the one on front.

I finished my bag today. I like how it turned out. The flannel is from shirts the kids wore for Christmas cards one year.
