We played a new game tonight called Parks, based on national parks in the US. We liked it. Everyone was looking forward to seeing the artwork as we flipped over new cards.

I bought a spotting scope for Christmas as a family gift. It has a bracket that lets you attach a phone to take pictures. We're hoping we will be able to see the deer better at the woods. There was about an hour without clouds one night and we could see the craters on the moon better.

We have some special glasses which show holographic images around points of light. This one shows snowmen.

I made a bag for my mom for Christmas. It's like the flannel one I made as I liked the size and shape. The pink fabric and lace is from shirts my daughter wore. There is some gray fabric from my younger son's shirts as lining and an interior pocket, and the jeans fabric was from a pair my oldest used to wear.

About a year ago someone ran over my mom's mailbox and we replaced the post and box. Over the weekend someone hit it again, but at least the post was mostly undamaged. We replaced the box-hopefully this one lasts much longer.

My daughter has been doing full time remote learning for school (about half the kids still went in to the building, and she watched live videos of the teachers). The school loaned all the kids chromebooks. In November they had enough covid cases the school switched to everyone being remote until January. I teased her she wouldn't be able to have 'snow days' if everyone is at home. This morning she couldn't log in because Google was out, so she almost got an 'error 500' day. It was only out for an hour and then she was back to school. Having her own cell phone came in handy, though, as one of her teachers sent text messages to the class, telling them to 'stay by the computer'.

My husband moved his arcade machines to the basement so maybe, just maybe, we can fit a car in the garage. While he was doing this, I realized I shouldn't be blaming the kids for all of the dents and scratches on the wall.

Our well water is usually ice cold when it comes out of the tap. Yesterday it was comparatively warm. We figured out the pump inside the well was running nonstop. Today we had people out to fix it. A connector to the pump was cracked which leaked some of the water back into the well instead of going to the house. They tested the pump and it was nearly dead from running nonstop for who knows how long, so they replaced that too.

We evicted two frogs today. There is a storm coming so we had to move them before they would freeze to death in the goldfish pond.

I read suggestions to put straw in the potato bin to help them last longer so we're trying it this year.

We moved the fish inside since it snowed. They're so big we have to use a skimmer net from the pool to catch them.

We had a line of storms come through with a lot of wind taking out electric. Ours came back after a few hours.

We dumped the third load of leaves on the old potato patch. My son enjoyed using the little bulldozer to spread them around.

I think we're finished with leaves. There are some still on the trees, but not much. I finished off a roll of duct tape on the left tractor's tubing. About 1/3 to 1/2 of the tube is wrapped with duct tape so we might have to invest in a new one next year. I didn't even notice until this picture how much duct tape is on the zero turn, too. That tape is really useful stuff.
