My son, around 4:00, said he needed to bring in spanish food for spanish class- for tomorrow.  We ended up with a cookie called polvorone, which is basically butter, powdered sugar, flour and cinnamon.

March 4, 2018

It appears the car got sideways, hit the pole on the passenger door and wrapped around to the other side.  The ground was really soft from all the rain, so she sunk in quite a bit, which hopefully slowed her down a little.  The dirt from the rut, along with window glass, ended up 20-30 feet past the pole.

March 3, 2018

Here is one side of the pole and it's new crack.

March 2, 2018

School was cancelled today.  Then while eating breakfast I heard a 'thunk'.  A lady had spun on the road and hit the phone pole.  It's really strange that she ended up in the same spot as the lady who spun into our mailbox 3 years ago.  The one today was heading north while the previous one was southbound, yet both ended up sideways right beside that pole.  My husband went out to check on her and her passenger.  He brought our truck out there so they'd have a place to get out of the weather.  It didn't take too long for the statey and then the ambulance to come.  Both people weren't too bad off and left later with the tow truck.  The pole has a big crack in it... we'll see how long it takes the phone company to fix it.  The lady stopped by in the evening to thank my husband for being helpful.  She brought some donuts and hot chocolate mix.  At least the people who wreck in my front yard are nice.

March 1, 2018

We got a bunch of rain again.  It slowly turned to snow in the evening.
