It concerns me a bit that science apparently changes so drastically at state borders that the book companies have to print a different book for each state.

This is what my purple sage looks like in the winter. In the spring, the leaves will perk up and turn a pretty purple again.

I started a job yesterday. It's warehouse work, supporting people with developmental disabilities. It's part time, no weekends, and a 6 minute commute (including a long red light and school zone). I'm liking it so far. Now, maybe we'll have enough money to catch up on little things we've been putting off... like gravel for the driveway.

The county came through and converted potholes into bumps. There was a particularly bad one down the road that had gravel all around it from the depths of the crater.

My husband took apart part of my lens. He found a broken gear, but isn't sure yet if it can be replaced.

The rose hips are a nice bright red, good for this time of year when everything else is dull and gloomy.

It turns out that the lens the cats knocked to the floor is broke after all. The focusing ring is slightly jammed, making it hard to focus. Instead of replacing it with the same thing, I bought a lens that replaces both my current lenses. This one covers the same range as the basic lens and the telephoto, 18mm - 300mm.

We watched live video of SpaceX launching their Falcon Heavy rocket. Later, they showed video feeds from their car on the rocket as it floated above earth. It was really interesting to watch, although I would have loved to see just a picture of the entire earth from that distance.

This cat is extra furry. After we pet her, she seems to have the urge to lick herself to straighten out whatever we apparently messed up.

I heard a ruckus outside and found a flock of birds. They seemed to like the suet, and were willing to fight over it.

The snow melted yesterday, and came back today. I don't see how the groundhog could possibly see his shadow, but I also don't think spring is coming early.

I left out some pots and stuff I rarely use, but got everything else back inside. I need to use up a bunch of brown sugar, powdered sugar, and melting chocolate to make more space.
