I got the inside sand smooth.  When we started to measure out the pool pad to go on top of the sand, we found that they didn't send us enough.  So we had to stake down the posts in case we get wind and will have to track down new padding.

A robin built a nest on our deck.  There are two babies in it, big enough for their peaks to start peeking out.

We put some of the sand in the area today.  We're going to make at least one more trip to the sand pit tomorrow for this much more sand.  The directions for building a pool are not very clear, and research on the internet gave us several contradictory ways to build.  It's taking longer than it should simply because we spend so much time debating the correct way to do the next step.

The kids dug a hole in our pile of dirt from the pool area.

I saw a rabbit hopping around with grass in it's mouth.  I've never seen that before and went out to see she is building a nest, just a few feet from the house.  I'm starting to think we need a dog again.

My tomatoes are growing really well this year.  They're tall, and have decent sized green tomatoes already.

Skylar was supposed to be a girl.  The paperwork was wrong, and Skylar is not a girl.  At least the name still works for a boy.  He's all black, with stray white hairs here and there, but I can see hints of stripes on him.  Supposedly, his 'ghost' stripes will go away as he grows.

We're still working on the pool.  We intend to set the walls on these blocks.

We were at a garage sale and found some old 45's with songs that were popular when we were growing up.  We brought them home and introduced the kids to what a record sounds like when you play it on the wrong speed.

This little blueberry bush is producing a lot of berries this year.  I normally don't like blueberries, but with a little sugar these ones are actually pretty good, especially on cheesecake.

We worked some more on the pool.  The instructions aren't very detailed, so we're having to guess a bit at what we're actually supposed to do.

I tried to take a photo of lightning bugs.  They're there, if you look for them.  People are still setting off fireworks, so that made a nice addition to the photo.
