This is why you put a filter over a lens.  One (or both) cats knocked my camera to the floor.  My husband got the filter off, and the lens (and camera) seem fine.

We went to the Toys for Tots drive at the blimp hanger.  I thought maybe the line would be shorter on Friday, and it was.  Navigating through their maze of thousands of cones outside the building in the dark was a slight challenge, especially with a couple 90° turns, but it got easier when we reached the end of the line.  We see the blimp several times a year from a distance (and much lower vantage point), so it's neat to get close and see how large it really is.

We got a little snow in the air today.  Last weekend, my husband hung my LED star on the barn.  It looks good, even from the road.  Since we're 200+ feet from the road, I need oversized decorations.

There was an unusual haze this morning, and the air smelled like smoke.  I suppose it was from the barn fire the other day.

We drove past the fire location.  There used to be a large barn to the right, left, and behind the silos.  It was still smoldering, and we passed a water tanker refilling from a hydrant down the road, so they are still spraying it down.

A large barn burned down a few miles away from us.  There was a lot of dark black smoke for a while.  They had to call in several fire departments from around the county.  Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
