I hid eggs for the kids in the front yard. I put candy in them, so my husband went out and got a few for himself too. I think there might still be one out there- we never seem to be able to find all of them.

We carved another dove, and engraved 'Peace' below it. It's pine, which doesn't seem to carve as well as sassafrass did.

The honeybees love my crocus. I always see a lot of them when the crocus bloom, then they seem to disappear until the oregano blooms. They also love oregano. Sometimes we wonder what oregano honey tastes like.

I started my second Sunbonnet Sue square. I am still working on how to add lightning bugs. I found glow-in-the-dark thread to make them.

I've made about a gallon and a half of syrup. We looked at the store, it's about $20 for a quart, so this is about $120 of syrup. It's been below freezing the last couple days, but we'll probably have one or two more days to get sap before it gets too warm.

This is what my pots look like after I boil maple sap. I don't know what causes all those spots. They don't clean off, but they do eventually wear away.
