After waiting many years, this pear tree is finally having a couple pears. Maybe, in a few more years, they will not be puny, odd shaped nubbins.

Stores are having summer clearance, so I bought a bunch of things for the camper. They're bright and colorful!

I made them stop playing farm simulator on the computers to do some real farming- snapping green beans.

We found a tiny grasshopper in the house. Took a bit to get him outside, as when he'd hop to escape me, he'd hop several feet, which is quite a ways for something so tiny.

Heavy rain came through, causing minor flooding. Most of this water in our yard came from the ditches along the road. There was a much larger puddle and practically a stream, but some of it was gone by the time the lightning was done and the kids could go out and play in the puddle. They were completely soaked by the time they came in.

We got some more hay in today. You can see the second, small trailer we used back on the ridge, as well as the baler, my dad raking on a blue tractor, and I think my younger son walking up toward the baler.

Our parking lot behind the house. Also note the lovely grey clouds that keep raining on us, every day. We got some hay in though.

There are a lot of gas wells being drilled here now. There are big trucks, mostly large dump trucks, going by constantly, some going really fast. This was one of the 'oversized loads'. The berm is barely a foot wide before the hill drops off sharply on both sides at this point. A couple of days after this, a super oversized load met two dump trucks here. They took about 10 minutes backing up, finding a spot for one to stop and others to pass. Also later in the week, the kids started pumping their arms to get the trucks to honk. At first I thought maybe they shouldn't 'distract' the trucks, but then realized that all the trucks were honking, which meant they saw and knew kids were around, and they seemed to slow down quite a lot after Monday.

I put several pictures together to make a panoramic view from where we parked the camper for our first camping trip. We're staying at the farm to put in hay this week. My husband seemed nervous about the truck making it up the big hill pulling the camper (it was fine), I was a little more worried about encountering oncoming traffic on a narrow road around a hairpin turn (fortunately I didn't!).
