Today was track and field day. My daughter (far right) managed to make it to a final heat. She didn't win, but maybe next year!

The neighbor a few doors down came and mowed our hayfield. It was sunny, but rather cold. He thinks it will be dry on Monday. Driving around, we saw several other farmers mowing their hay.

We closed the camper since we were supposed to get thunderstorms. But the weather didn't really turn bad, although it did get cold again.

It was a nice day so we opened all the screens in the camper. Then I measured all the cubby holes and cabinets, which took quite a while because there are a lot of them, and nearly every one is a different size.

His history teacher gives out massive "busy work" type homework. Every month or so, he'd get a list of about 20-80 vocabulary words. He'd have to look up and write a 25 word definition in his notebook, then again on notecards, write a sentence with the word, and then type the definition into Microsoft Word. He's spending the weekend typing the last bit for the year.

We picked up our new camper today! We liked this one because it's fairly small, yet has all kinds of things like a stove, bathroom, A/C, heat, and sleeps 7-8. It has fold out queen beds on the ends and one side.

It's funny how my dog will dig and dig in this area of the yard, particularly this garden, but rarely, if ever, has dug in the two gardens in the back. Just this one; we have to fence in this one to keep her out, but don't fence the back garden.

We got the potato patch planted today. The dirt was dry, but not too awful dry, so it was easy to hoe.

It seems like we have more dandelions per square foot of yard than other people. And then there's the neighbor to the right, who sprays his yard and has NO dandelions (until all of ours turn into fluffy seeds that float over there).
