Santa put some candy canes on the tree. The kids seem to have missed this one. The green bulb was a decoration my younger son made at school this year. He got to mix up the paint which was poured inside to color the clear bulb.

My younger two decorated some plates at school for Christmas gifts. This one, the "Cookie jam" plate was made by my younger son.

December 23, 2012
My daughter went out and played in the snow. There was a lot of wind, so there was grass showing in many places, and drifts in others.

Santa came in a fire truck again this year. He started on the opposite corner of town at 1:00 and got to us around 7:40. The kids were excited. My daughter wouldn't sit on Santa's lap at school, but went right up to Santa this time. My nephew wouldn't talk to Santa at his preschool party, but did talk to Santa tonight. I think the kids were happy Santa came.

I sometimes go downstairs and find a new scene has been added to the Lego village. Apparently, these news anchors are about to make their first broadcast... about a zombie apocalypse.

My daughter brought home some soap that looked like a snowball (from a classmate). There was a note that said once you use it, there was a surprise inside. About 5 minutes after she shows me she comes back with some plastic tiles. I go back and look in the sink, and this is what is left of the soap ball. At least it smells good.

My younger two had a holiday concert to sing at today. They got to get dressed up in Christmas-y colors, along with everyone from the whole school, and sing songs.
December 7, 2012
They were nagging about getting the tree up, so I tried to get them to do it, but I still ended up helping a lot.

I drove to the back, and almost missed seeing a deer staring at me. Which made me wonder how often I've gone back there and never noticed critters watching me.

Today was breakfast with Santa. My daughter's grade sang for us. The kids sure do look great all dressed up!
