They are painting the water tower in town. They put that large cloth cover over top, and there are ropes dropping down to more cloth on the ground. Last Monday, the cloth that is on the ground was pulled all the way up.

There is a festival in town this weekend. My younger two kids' school marched in the parade and I joined them. Each classroom dressed up as characters from a book. My daughter's was The Grouchy Ladybug, so she got to dress up as a ladybug.

One of the interesting things about canning is the jars. I have jars that I got from both of my grandmothers, my mother in law, aunts, a few that I bought, and mom and I still share and swap as needed. There's several different brands and shapes. Some have a rounded bottom and some are square. It keeps things from getting too boring.
