My oldest and youngest and I went balloon chasing again this year. Last year the balloons headed south, this year they went west-northwest. We ended up running around in a park trying to find a clearing to see them better. There was a fence stopping us from getting to the lake though, so we heard the balloons more than we saw them.
We forgot this was picture day. He called me at 7:52 to say so. I had to bring in the money, but he didn't have time to change clothes. So his class photo this year is in a plain green T-shirt.
Gas station, in the rain. It's probably safe to assume that 10 years from now we'll look at the price of gas on those pumps and say "Wow, gas was cheap back then!" But right now, those prices hurt!
Other side of yesterday's boxcars. We rode down the bike trail, and these are parked along the trail. They're larger than I expected, especially these two yellow ones, which are taller than the other two behind me.
Round 2 of spaghetti production. Got 12 quarts, and there's still some juice left to make more tomorrow. Here is the more cooperative one of my child laborers.
My major in college was studio art. Immediately after graduation, my husband and I started a family. As our family grew, art production took a back seat. Even photographs dwindled with each addition. I bought a DSLR, and decided to start my own art project. I will take pictures every day, and post one of them on this site.
I am finding that with digital, the results are immediate, allowing me to check my images and right away make adjustments to re-shoot the photo. The pictures are becoming a learning tool, and I hope that my photography impoves as the years progress.
