This balloon landed a short distance from home. It appeared to head toward our house for a while, then veered off to the north a little bit. Maybe, some day, one will land in my yard. It's interesting though, how much larger they look once they're on the ground instead of out in the middle of the open sky.

I planted gourds last year. I didn't plant any this year. Yet, I still ended up with a couple hundred of them. Darn things are very prolific.

I attempted to take a picture of the orange, full moon. The clouds got in the way and I wasn't able to get a better picture than this.

I started out making a small blankie for my daughter. Decided to make it a throw so it's a little bit bigger for her. I didn't do a lot of measuring and calculating, and ended up with a quilt big enough for a bed. So... she's got a nice flannel quilt, but still needs a replacement blankie.

I'm working on a small quilt for her to replace her very worn out blankie. She liked tracing around the squares, although she wasn't too happy when the fabric kept moving.
